How Creators Can Land More Brand Deals

Landing brand deals isn’t just about having a big following.

Brands are increasingly looking for creators who understand their audience, make strong content and can deliver on a brief without losing what makes their content feel authentic.

So if you want to increase your chances of getting paid partnerships, here are the areas worth focusing on.

1. Make it obvious what your content is about

A brand should be able to land on your profile and quickly understand:

  • what you create

  • who your audience is

  • what your style is

  • where a brand could naturally fit

You don’t need to put yourself into one tiny box, but your page should still have a clear identity.

If your content jumps between ten completely unrelated topics with no obvious point of view, it becomes harder for a brand to understand why they should work with you.

2. Create content brands can imagine themselves in

You do not need to wait until you have a brand deal to prove that you can create branded content.

Think about the categories you want to work in and start naturally featuring relevant products, locations, outfits or experiences in your existing content.

If you want beauty partnerships, show how you talk about beauty.

If you want fashion deals, make sure your style and fashion content are visible.

If you want food or travel campaigns, demonstrate that you can tell a story around those experiences.

Brands often look at what you are already creating before deciding whether you are right for a campaign.

3. Prioritise engagement, not just follower count

Follower numbers matter, but they are only part of the picture.

Brands also look at whether people actually respond to your content.

Comments, shares, saves, watch time and the quality of your community can all be more valuable than having a large but disconnected following.

A smaller creator with a loyal and highly relevant audience can sometimes be a better campaign partner than someone with a much bigger following.

4. Make yourself easy to contact

This sounds basic, but creators lose opportunities because brands and agencies simply cannot reach them easily.

Your profile should have:

  • a clear email address

  • your management or agency contact if you have one

  • a professional bio

  • links that actually work

If you are part of a creator network or represented by an agency, make that clear too.

The easier you are to contact, the easier you are to book.

5. Treat every campaign professionally

Getting the first deal is one thing. Getting booked again is another.

Brands remember creators who:

  • respond quickly

  • meet deadlines

  • follow the brief

  • communicate when something changes

  • submit content on time

  • understand disclosure requirements

  • take feedback professionally

Creative talent matters, but reliability matters too.

One strong campaign can easily lead to repeat work if the experience of working with you is straightforward.

6. Understand what you’re actually agreeing to

Before accepting a deal, make sure you understand:

  • what content you need to create

  • where it needs to be posted

  • when it needs to go live

  • how long the brand can use the content

  • whether they can use it in paid advertising

  • whether there is exclusivity

  • when you will be paid

Usage rights in particular can significantly affect the value of a deal.

A brand asking you to post one video organically is very different from a brand asking to use that video in advertising for six months.

7. Don’t accept every opportunity

Not every brand deal is a good brand deal.

If something feels completely disconnected from your audience, accepting it purely for the fee can damage trust and make your page feel overly commercial.

The strongest creators build partnerships that make sense for their content and audience.

That usually creates better content for the brand too.

8. Give brands a reason to come back

Once you start working with brands, your goal should not just be to complete the deliverables.

Think about how you can make the partnership perform.

That could mean bringing a strong creative idea, understanding what your audience responds to, improving the hook or sug

gesting a format that feels more natural for your platform.

Creators who understand both content and commercial objectives tend to stand out.
